A dental bridge is a custom restoration that closes the gap left by one or more missing teeth. It uses replacement teeth, called pontics, anchored to the healthy teeth or dental implants on either side of the space. Once in place, a bridge restores your ability to chew and speak while keeping your remaining teeth from shifting. Each bridge is shade-matched and shaped to blend naturally with the rest of your smile.
A bridge fills the gap left by missing teeth, bringing back a complete smile and your confidence with it.
With the gap closed, you can bite and chew comfortably and evenly again, without working around a space.
Filling the space keeps neighboring teeth from drifting out of position and throwing off your bite.
Replacing missing teeth helps support your facial structure and prevents the sunken look gaps can cause.
From your first exam to the final result, here's exactly what to expect — calm, clear, and never rushed.
Request an AppointmentDr. Lari examines your teeth and gently reshapes the anchor teeth to make room for the bridge.
We take precise impressions so your custom bridge is built to fit your smile exactly.
We place a temporary bridge to protect the area while your permanent one is crafted.
At your next visit, we fit and bond the permanent bridge for a secure, natural result.
You have one or more missing teeth in a row that you would like to replace.
A gap makes it hard to chew comfortably or evenly on one side.
Nearby teeth are starting to drift toward the empty space in your smile.
You prefer a fixed, non-removable option instead of a partial denture.
Dr. Lari will recommend the right bridge design based on the location of the gap and the health of the surrounding teeth.
These fixed restorations are the most common bridge design we offer. Either side is attached to a stable, healthy tooth, suspending one or two pontic teeth between them.
When there is not a healthy tooth on both sides of the missing tooth, a cantilever bridge offers a single tooth-supported alternative, attaching the artificial tooth to the side of a functional dental crown set on the surviving adjacent tooth.
A Maryland bridge is a replacement crown with small "wings" that bond behind the neighboring teeth rather than covering them with crowns. They work well for missing front teeth, children, or temporary purposes before dental implant treatment.
An implant-supported bridge can replace multiple teeth at one time, with either end of the bridge set on top of a dental implant. Up to four teeth in a row can be restored using only two dental implants.

Yes, front-tooth bridges are designed to match the teeth on either side for a natural look. They restore both your smile and your confidence.
With proper care, most bridges last between five and fifteen years, and often longer. Good hygiene and regular checkups help extend their life.
Bridges are a great option if you prefer a faster, non-surgical solution or are not a candidate for implants. Implants can last longer for some patients, and we will help you weigh both.
We offer traditional, cantilever, Maryland, and implant-supported bridges. Dr. Lari will recommend the best type based on the location of the gap and the health of the surrounding teeth.
Most dental plans cover a portion of the cost of a bridge. Our team is happy to help you check your coverage and estimate your out-of-pocket cost.
Cleaning under a bridge takes a little extra care, since you cannot simply floss between the artificial tooth and your gum the usual way. Instead, a floss threader or special "super floss" lets you slide floss beneath the false tooth to remove plaque and food debris, and a water flosser or a small interdental brush works beautifully too. Keeping this area clean is essential because decay or gum disease around the supporting teeth is the most common reason a bridge fails. Dr. Lari will show you the technique.
Most patients find getting a bridge quite comfortable. Before the supporting teeth are reshaped, the area is numbed with local anesthesia, so you should not feel pain during the procedure itself. Afterward, it is normal to notice some mild soreness or temporary sensitivity to hot and cold, which usually fades within a few days and is easily managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.
Adjusting to a new bridge usually happens quickly. In the first few days it may feel slightly bulky or unfamiliar, and you might notice small changes in how you chew or pronounce certain words. Most people adapt within a week or two. Eating softer foods at first and practicing speaking can speed things along, and your bite is fine-tuned before you leave.
The cost of dental bridge depends on a few factors, including the scope of your treatment plan and whether additional imaging or procedures are needed. During your visit, we'll walk you through a clear, itemized estimate before anything begins — no surprises. At Elite Dentistry, we work closely with most insurance providers to maximize your benefits, and we offer flexible financing options and new patient specials to make quality care comfortable for every budget.
